How to build and spread
a post-capitalist
cultural movement
all over Europe
for it to become a reality asap?
From research,
to prototype and iterations
At the scale of Europe,
connecting North and South
The shift to a post-capitalist society can't happen with a single country only, it needs to happen at a larger level. Europe is a great starting point for that as it'll enable to highlight environmental, socio-economic and political differences.
Berlin, Barcelona, next on the list being Amsterdam, have been identified as key cities in Europe where the activist and art scene are significant, making it relevant to start with them.
Connecting the dots,
building bridges
3-fold action plan
1. Status Quo
Identify and curate existing local communities, spaces and initiatives from the first 3 selected cities.
Learn, listen to their needs, how they operate, understand their actions and goals.
2. Connect, create, defend
Identify lack of communities, spaces, initiatives, and create if missing.
Defend and protect spaces at risk of privatization.
Connect communities, initiatives, struggles and spaces through campaigns, event production, partnerships and collaborations.
3. Anchor and spread
Anchor in key cities in Europe via a strong community network.
Expand to another group of cities.
Build and distribute a playkit for anyone to replicate the model.
What is it?
Ongoing Challenges
Finding the right business model
We're standing in Between an event production, media and advertising agency for post-capitalist activism, while embracing the post-growth principles. Therefore, adopting the relevant business model is a challenge in itself. For now, the focus is on submitting applications for grants and fellowships, and explore media agency business and donation-based model.
Attracting the kind of projects we want to support
In a landscape oversaturated with greenwashing content, and content in general, it definitely requires sharp research and curation to find the news and visual storytelling that make sense to develop and push forward.
